After years renting sport bikes of every size, I rate the Ninja 500's greatness as how completely its strengths suit real riders on real roads. Usable power, friendly delivery, a low seat, and a trustworthy chassis all serve the same end: a sport bike you can genuinely exploit and enjoy. On Samui's varied, demanding roads that accessible capability matters far more than a bigger power figure. The Ninja 500 is great precisely because it is a sport bike built to be used, not feared.
