Cycling and e-scooter enthusiast, eco-travel advocate
I arrived on Koh Samui from Barcelona in 2020 with a folding bike strapped to my backpack. Five years later, I've cycled every trail and beach path the island offers, tested every e-scooter in the fleet, and logged more kilometres by pedal power than by engine. Samui is surprisingly good cycling territory once you know which roads to use.
My writing covers the bicycle and electric scooter range from the perspective of someone who genuinely prefers a quiet ride. Sustainable travel isn't a trend for me - it's just how I explore. That means I'm honest about range anxiety on e-scooters, about which hills will beat you on a bicycle, and about where the best early-morning rides are before the tourist traffic starts.
I'm also the digital nomad on the team. I've worked from beach cafés in Bo Phut, co-working spaces in Chaweng, and a fishing pier in Na Thon. If you need to cover ground on Samui quietly and cheaply, the cycling and e-scooter guides I've written have everything you need.
