I moved to Koh Samui from Lyon in 2018 with a one-way ticket and a lifelong habit of riding anything with two wheels. What I thought would be a six-month adventure turned into seven years of leading group rides across southern Thailand and building what became the Samui Bikes fleet.
The roads here never get old. The ring road takes about two hours to complete and rewards you differently every time - at sunrise you get empty tarmac and mist hanging over the jungle hills, at sunset you get colour-washed ocean views that make you miss the turn. I've ridden both, dozens of times.
