I lower the Forza 350's electric screen for the slow Chaweng strip and raise it the moment I join the open bypass. The biggest mistake renters make is leaving it in one position all day. Dropped, it gives cooling airflow in town heat; raised, it shelters you at cruising speed. Learning to flick it to suit each road transforms your comfort. Take a minute at handover to find the two settings you will use, and use them constantly.
Loading up at the hotel, I make full use of the Forza 350's huge underseat space rather than wearing a backpack all day. It swallows helmets, a rain jacket, water, and shopping, keeping the weight low on the scooter where it belongs. A backpack in Samui heat is miserable and shifts your balance; the storage solves both. Plan to carry the day's gear under the seat, not on your shoulders, and every ride feels lighter and cooler.
I keep the Forza 350's Smart Key fob in my pocket and never fumble for it at a beach stop. The keyless system lets you unlock the seat, steering, and ignition without digging it out - genuinely useful when your hands are full of helmets and bags. Just remember to keep the fob safe and dry, since it is the key to everything. Used well, it removes a dozen small frictions from a day of frequent stops.
Approaching a wet junction near Lamai, I brake earlier than I would in the dry and trust the Forza 350's ABS and traction control as backup. Getting the most from the scooter includes riding to its safety strengths - the electronics reward smooth, early inputs and protect you when grip drops. They are not a licence to brake late, but they add a real margin on Samui's slick afternoon roads. Smooth, early braking plus the safety kit keeps every ride secure.
I plan Forza 350 days around long, smooth, scenic loops rather than dirt detours or short town darting. The scooter gives its best on flowing sealed roads - the ring road, the coast, the gentle viewpoints - where its comfort and cruising pace shine. Forcing it down rough tracks wastes its strengths and risks its lower clearance. Build your itinerary to match what the Forza does well, and you will get a far richer day out of it.
Putting it all into practice, you get the most from the Forza 350 by working its features rather than ignoring them: adjust the screen for each road, pack the storage instead of a backpack, lean on the Smart Key, brake early with the electronics behind you, and plan smooth scenic loops. None of it is complicated, but together these habits turn a good scooter into a brilliant Samui touring companion that flatters every long island day.
