FAQ - Renting a Bike on Koh Samui

Do I need a driving licence to rent a scooter in Thailand?
Yes. Thai law requires a valid driving licence for any motorised vehicle. An international driving permit (IDP) alongside your home country licence is accepted. Riding without one voids any insurance and exposes you to fines.
Is insurance included in the rental price?
Third-party liability insurance is included with every rental. Comprehensive coverage for the vehicle itself is optional - ask us for details when you enquire. We recommend reviewing your travel insurance policy for additional cover.
Do you deliver the bike to my hotel?
Yes. We offer island-wide delivery and collection for rentals of three days or more. For shorter rentals, a small delivery fee may apply depending on your location.
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). Weekly and monthly rates offer significant savings - contact us for a custom quote on longer rentals.
What deposit do you require?
We typically hold a passport copy or a refundable cash deposit depending on the vehicle. The exact deposit amount is confirmed at the time of booking. All deposits are returned in full on safe return of the vehicle.
Can I ride on any road on Koh Samui?
Yes. Our vehicles are road-legal across the entire island. The main ring road (Route 4169) circles the coast, while interior mountain roads are accessible on larger-engined bikes and motorbikes. We can advise on route suitability for each model.
What happens if the bike breaks down?
We provide a 24/7 assistance contact number with every rental. In the event of a breakdown, we will arrange a replacement vehicle or roadside assistance as quickly as possible at no additional cost to you.
