I rent the Click 160 for my own full island loops when I want easy competence rather than sporty thrills. Setting off anticlockwise from Chaweng, I know it will climb every rise, cruise every straight, and never ask much of me over 51 km. For riders who want to circle the whole of Samui in a relaxed day without stress or strain, that quiet all-round capability is the core reason I reach for the 160.
Climbing the ridge above Nathon on a full loop, I feel exactly why the 160 suits island circuits better than the 125. The engine holds a steady pace uphill without downshifting drama or a straining note, so the climbs blend into the ride rather than interrupting it. When a loop strings together several hills - as any real Samui circuit does - the 160's torque keeps the whole day flowing smoothly from one coast to the next.
On the flat Maenam-to-Bang Po straights I settle the Click 160 into a relaxed cruise and simply enjoy the coconut groves sliding past. It holds ring-road pace comfortably, with just enough reserve to pass a slow pickup when a gap appears. That unflustered cruising is what makes a long loop pleasant rather than tiring. The 160 lets me cover distance at a steady clip without the buzzy, maxed-out feeling a smaller scooter gives on the same roads.
I complete a full Ring Road loop on well under the 5.5-litre tank, usually with no fuel stop needed at all. The eSP+ engine is genuinely frugal despite the extra power, so choosing the 160 over the 125 barely dents running costs. For a day of island exploring, knowing I can circle Samui without hunting for a PTT station is a quietly practical reason the 160 makes such an easy loop companion.
Watching renters on a Click 160, I see them visibly relax by the second hour of a loop, once they trust it to handle every hill. One Dutch rider told me at the Nathon viewpoint that he had stopped thinking about the scooter entirely and was just enjoying the island. That is the highest praise a loop bike can earn. When a scooter disappears beneath you and lets the ride take over, it is doing its job perfectly.
For full Samui loops the case for the Click 160 is clear: it climbs, cruises, and sips fuel while staying as easy as any small scooter in town. I recommend it to anyone who wants to circle the island in comfort without stepping up to a heavier machine. If your plan is to see all of Samui in one relaxed day, the Click 160 is the least fussy, most sensible way to ride the whole loop.
